The Gone, a six-part thriller set in New Zealand, is set to air on 9.30pm on RTÉ One and is hosted by Brian Dowling and RTÉ. The show also features Irish couple who go missing from a small New Zealand town and Irish detective Theo Richter who liaises with them to investigate a possible gang connection. The series showcases wildlife in coastal regions, including Cape fur seals in South Africa, and hungry lions in Namibia. It also features a look at the Arctic coast as the melting of billions of tonnes of ice brings short-lived opportunities to coastal waters. The final episode of Lucy Kennedy's six-season series, The Devil's Confession, airs at 9.00pm on BBC Two.

The Gone, 9.30pm, RTÉ One

This new six-part thriller is set in New Zealand, written by Anne McPartlin and Michael Bennett and starring Richard Flood, Acushla Tara Kupe, Michelle Fairley and Liam Carney.

Am Irish couple in their twenties go missing from a small New Zealand town and Irish detective Theo Richter heads out there to liaise and explore a possible gang connection.

He teams up with Maori detective Diana Huia, who reluctantly returns to her home town, but refuses to reconnect with a family she has firmly left in the past.

Joe Duffy interviews Alliance Party of Northern Ireland leader Naomi Long (below), who talks growing up in a working-class, Unionist, Protestant home in East Belfast during the Troubles.

She explains how her Christian faith led her to leave her Church and why despite experiencing misogynistic abuse and death threats, and the current paralysis in Northern Irish politics, she remains hopeful.

David Attenborough returns for a third run of the visually stunning Planet Earth, and showcases wildlife in coastal regions, from Cape fur seals in South Africa to hungry lions in Namibia.

On South Africa’s Robberg Peninsula, thousands of cape fur seals are squeezed onto a small ledge. A yearling pup escapes into the water and becomes nimble and graceful.

The Devil's Confession - The Lost Eichmann Tapes, 9.00pm, BBC Two

Escaping from postwar Europe, Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann established a new life in Argentina, where he met Dutch journalist and fellow Nazi Willem Sassen.

In Buenos Aires in 1957, they recorded a comprehensive account of his career, but the tapes disappeared when Eichmann was captured and taken to stand trial in Jerusalem.

Excerpts of his interview surfaced in Life magazine, and Israeli prosecutor Gideon Hausner was determined to use Eichmann's recorded confession as evidence during the trial.

In late 2018, the disappearance of 21-year-old British backpacker Grace Millane (below) sparked international attention after friends reported her missing from Auckland, New Zealand.

She had not returned after meeting someone through the dating app Tinder, and the case was picked up by Detective Inspector Scott Beard.

Having examined her social media, Beard tracked down Millane’s date: 26-year-old Jesse Shane Kempson.

While prosecutors attempt to get justice, Grace’s family face their own challenges as they are forced to defend their lost daughter against the victim-blaming mobs.

Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Crowe), the story follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy's terrifying possessio.
