And so far, all these negotiations have been conducted in secret.
What we do know so far, is that the costs of this cleanup project might exceed $1 billion and that Boeing is trying its hardest not to pay. Why should taxpayers have to foot the bill for a corporation’s reckless and toxic behavior?

In the world’s richest nation, a growing crisis casts a shadow on its education system: school lunch debt. “[A] term so absurd that it shouldn’t even exist,” according to Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman.
It affects millions of school children across the country — the total public school meal debt is $262 million a year. This number is outrageous. No child should be burdened with financial debt for simply being fed at school.
Thankfully, there is a potential solution, introduced by Senator Fetterman himself. A Senate bill, called the “School Lunch Debt Cancellation Act,” would require the United States Department of Agriculture to pay for all school lunch and breakfast debt owed by students.

A recent study shows that the type of storm seen in New York is on average 10-20% wetter than it would have been a century ago – because of climate chaos.

In the 1960s, the Danish government implanted nearly 5,000 intrauterine devices into women and girls in Greenland without their consent. The goal was explicitly to restrict the birth rate of the territory’s majority Inuit people – literally a form of genocide against indigenous people.
Many of the women did not even know they had the devices implanted, and simply thought they were infertile for most of their lives, until recent gynecological appointments.
This is human rights abuse, plain and simple. And it is time the Danish government takes responsibility for it.

This alarming case was only revealed during a “routine inspection” by the hotel staff, which brings us to an unsettling question: Why did it take so long for local authorities to intervene?

Even worse: officials also have evidence that he physically abused his horses. Witnesses observed him punching the animals and slamming them with a shovel, buckets, and other painful objects.
